Anita Castillo
I am a native New Mexican living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my husband and two girls. My love for photography began when I was 16 and enrolled in my first photography class. My first camera was a Canon AE-1 given to me by my dad, which he used in college! I spent countless hours taking photographs, working in the darkroom, processing my own film and developing my own prints. I studied Design Foundation at Northern New Mexico College and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Communication. After many years of classes using film, I bought my first digital camera right before my first daughter was born. My girls were my first and still are my favorite subjects. Fast forward and my dream of starting a photography business became a reality with AMC Photography. I love doing family portraits; preserving a moment in time during the childhood years that go so fast. I also do landscape photography, professional head shots, senior portraits, and special event photography.
